“Whose skin are you under now” is the 3rd Radio Silence studio Album released on Escape Music. The Album is a fine collection of songs Alistair Gordon wrote / co- wrote during the course of the last few years.

History and Previous Projects

After forming and fronting his own bands and performing “live” in many varied pubs, clubs and theatres all over the U.K. as Lead singer/ songwriter, Alistair gained valuable experience, listening, learning and crafting his songwriting and performing skills.

By the age of 18 he had signed his first music publishing deal with Chappell Aznavour, and at the same time was signed to 10cc’s management company Kennedy Street Enterprises. A year later after relentless gigging, he and bass player/ writer Mark Holding, were signed up to Polydor Records Worldwide under the band name ” Scott & Batische “. Whilst making an Album, the duo began a series of support tours supporting acts from Split Enz, Ace, The Motors, Racing Cars, to a handful of support gigs with the newly signed Sex Pistols.

It was in 1983 when Alistair had his first taste of success with a number 1 record in Spain with the band Zu Zu Sharks & a song called “Love Tumbles Down” on EMI. The band toured Britain & Europe extensively , but in 1985 Alistair left the band & was signed as a solo artist by Ahmet Ertegun the founder & chairman of Atlantic Records U.S.A.

At the same time as writing & recording his album for Atlantic he was invited by “Genesis” keyboard supremo Tony Banks to be Frontman / lead singer of Tony’s new band “Bank Statement” recording & releasing an album on Virgin records. The Album’s success was mainly in Europe & Japan . In between doing Radio & T.V. interviews , videos , ” live”T.V. performances & a concert tour of Germany Alistair also completed his first solo Album “Radio Silence” which having sold well in Europe then released a second solo album “Sirens”.

As a versatile session singer, he has sung backing vocals on many comtemporary rock and pop albums from Eric Clapton, The Choir Boys, and The Who to Sad Cafe, Labi Siffre and Ralph Mctell. He has also performed lead and backing vocals on several film sound tracks inc. The EMMY and Bafta award Winnning animated feature film “Wind In The Willows” and also sang the lead and Backing Vocals for the title song “California Dreaming” for the Warner Brothers Film: “The Big Tease”

Finally, after a brief stint writing recording & performing live with “Sad Café” Alistair decided to concentrate his efforts on songwriting & production. In 2007 Alistair performed with Russell Watson on his extensive sell-out Arena tour which finished off at the Royal Albert Hall. This “live” performance was recorded & released by Decca /
Universal in May 2008.

2008: Having just completed another 5 week sell- out tour with Russell Watson, Alistair began writing & recording his 3rd Solo ‘Radio Silence’ Album in J.M recording studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.
